Longnor Wood Holiday Park near Buxton. We spent 7 nights at this site on the camping field in June. The camping field was on a slight slope which made levelling furniture slightly difficult and made us feel slightly uncomfortable.Pitch sizes quite small, guy rope to guy rope with next tent, car had to go in the car park because of this. Site facilities are the minimum by law for this size of site, average cleanlinesses, cleaners could of done a bit better of a job to tackle the smell of stale urine, however,it could of been a fault with plumbing, 2 sinks and 3 toilets which are called privacy cubicles but only has a hand wash sink and 3 showers adequate for your needs. Site staff and managers very pleasant and helpful. There is a small site shop open until around teatime in there is a small washer and dryer, you can only use these up until roughly 4pm so it's got time to finish before shop/reception closes. There is 2 pot wash sinks under cover with hot and cold water, there is also a doggy shower room, a large open field for dogs. The area is stunning, just a shame that the amazing views can't be seen from the camping field. There is a security barrier to get access to the caravan pitches but the camp field is before that so no security covering the camp field. They also have holiday lodges. I would not visit this site again. www.longnorwood.co.uk/

Clover Fields Touring Park near Buxton. Wow wow wow, this is a top site with fantastic facilities and down to earth owners and staff. Large pitch with plenty of privacy from tall edges, toilets, showers etc first class with plenty of hot water. Shop on site selling a good supply of items, café on site which serves excellent quality food which is well cooked by the team, you can have food delivered to your pitch at no extra cost. If you are a caravanner or camper, you must try this adult only site. There is a fishing bond if you like fishing, all pitches have EHU, fresh water and waste water. They accept Caravans, motor homes, folding campers, trailer tents and tents. We would visit this site again with hesitation. www.cloverfieldstouringpark.co.uk/
